Dr. Angela H. Baylis

Dr. Angela Baylis heads the Iatria Health Center and offers comprehensive, state-of-the-art natural health and wellness care to her patients. She works with her patients to achieve optimum results in the treatment of conditions ranging from chronic headaches, accident injury and whiplash to shoulder pain, knee pain, chronic lower back and sciatica. She has been successful in helping women with PMS, menopause, carpel tunnel syndrome, and back pain associated with pregnancy.

Dr. Baylis specializes in applied kinesiology. Applied kinesiology is the term most commonly used to identify a pseudoscientific system of muscle testing and therapy. Its primary philosophy is that every organ dysfunction is accompanied by a specific muscle weakness, which enables diseases to be diagnosed through muscle-testing procedures. These various methods of treatment incorporate different philosophies and are customized for the patient. 

Dr. Baylis, a native of Winchester, Virginia, first realized her passion for chiropractic care at a young age after watching the effects of her mother's illness. Her mother would often have trouble swallowing and it was then that her mother began seeing a chiropractor who ultimately helped her to recover. The impact on Dr. Baylis so affected her that she decided to work three jobs to become a chiropractor and received her degree in 1998 and began treating patients in 1999.

Dr. Baylis received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy from the same institution. She began her practice at Iatria Health Center in 2000.
