Dave Mangrum

After 20 years of successful management, business, and finance experience as a corporate executive for Sprint and 360 Communications, Dave Mangrum, along with his wife Erika, opened Iatria Spa and Heath Center in 1999 and serves as the organization's President. Under the financial supervision of Dave Mangrum, the company has expanded to four locations in the Triangle and launched its own private collection of skin and body care products.

The award-winning firm was voted as Best Day Spa in the Triangle by both the Independent Spectator Magazine and Citysearch while also being named recently as a top day spa in Metro Magazine's Metro Bravo Awards, for the third consecutive year. Its greatest honor came recently when Iatria was named one of the Top 20 Salons and Spas in the country by Launchpad Magazine and named a 5 Star Destination by Beauty Magazine. The firm won the 2004 Pinnacle Business Award, awarded by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, for Steady Growth and Profitability.

As an executive with Sprint Corporation for 17 years, Dave served in a number of progressively challenging roles, until ultimately becoming President of a spin-off company, 360 Communications, a company responsible for day-to-day operations of over a million customers within 360's wireless properties located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

Dave initially began advising his wife Erika on a part-time basis with the financing of Iatria. When he was similarly faced with the buyout of his company, Dave then decided to make Iatria a family business. He has a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park, and served in the U.S. Air Force for over six years.
